The Equation for Success

I learned the equation above from Dave Ramsey’s Entreleadership book.
He calls it “The Momentum Theorem”

It simply says that “Focused Intensity over Time with God = Success”

Dave Ramsey often relates this equation to getting out of debt, which could take years, but I believe that this equation can work for both short term goals as well as long term goals.
No matter what it is that you want to accomplish this equation can help you get it done.

In today’s world it is easy to get distracted.
Having focused intensity means tuning everything else out except what you are trying to accomplish and setting your heart and mind toward accomplishing the task no matter what.

Make things clear by writing your goal down on paper and set a time to get it done by.
If it’s a short term goal, then set a timer and put it right in front of you. There is nothing like seeing the ticking away of seconds on a clock. It becomes a race against time.
If it’s a long term goal then pick a date on the calendar, right it down and remind yourself each day by counting the days remaining. Try one of those count down apps.

Always be sure to pray and ask for God’s help. No matter how simple or complex the task, having God in the equation makes success far more likely.

Philippians 4:13. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

If you just bear down, focus you efforts, block out everything for a short period of time and ask God to help, you can and will be successful.
